WELCOME FROM THE CHAIR - 2025 CHAMPIONSHIP
After surpassing all of our previous attendance records for our 2024 tournament, we are so excited to start preparing for the 2025 World Crokinole Championship, in what will be the 24th edition of this illustrious tournament.
The date of this year’s tournament is Saturday, June 7, 2025. We’re always happy to see returning players – those who live close by, and those who live in other parts of the world. We truly welcome new crokinole players too!
Crokinole is a fun game for friends and family. There’s a category for all ages and all skill levels. At our last World Crokinole Championship (WCC) tournament the youngest person playing crokinole was age 5, the oldest person playing, age 91! The total number of registrants playing crokinole throughout the day exceeded 610 (more than double the amount of people who played in the first event in 1999)!
We encourage you to register early, to avoid being on a waiting list. In 2024 registrations for the singles categories were full by the end of March.
Registrations can be submitted online (payment via e-transfer or Eventbrite) and by mail (cheque or cash). Registrations received before March 31st are eligible to win one of two official spring jackets embroidered with the WCC emblem. Registrations received after May 1st are subject to a late fee.
We want to thank Hans Reinhold for his generous and extensive support of the World Crokinole Championships over the years. Please note 2024 was the final year of the Karin Jeske award for the top female players in competitive singles.
Please note the following schedule and format changes for the 2025 tournament:
- Our tournament starts 30 minutes later in the morning (8:30 instead of 8:00)
- 12 teams continue to advance to the playoffs in the Competitive, Recreational and Cues Doubles categories, but there will now be a championship match for the Doubles World title
- If there are 50 or more players competing, then 32 players will advance to the playoffs in the Competitive, Recreational and Cues Singles categories, and there will be a round of Quarterfinal matches
